Michael Hare has been involved with the union for approximately 25 years and holds a Diploma in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. He has served at several levels and represents members at the CCMA and internally, including at national level.
Karriem Abrahams
General Secretary (Acting)
Karriem Abrahams has more than 25 years of trade union experience. He began his career at POTWA (Post and Telecommunication Workers Association) and has represented members at the CCMA, internally and nationally.
Hennie van der Westhuizen
National Treasurer
Hennie’s union career began in the P&T Association. Following the merger of P&T and SATA, he was elected as a national office bearer and treasurer. He serves and represents members at union and national level.
Harry Botha
NMC Member
Harry has worked at Telkom for 25 years and became a SACU shop steward in 1999. He holds national diplomas in Human Resources and Labour Law from UJ, completed a CCMA commissioner course, and represents SACU within FEDUSA and in Gauteng.
Koos Fourie
NMC Member
Koos has worked at Telkom for 35 years and has been a SACU/SATA member since 3 January 1978. He has served in union structures since 1999, including as shop steward, OCA chairperson, Central Region chairperson and FTSS from July 2004. He was also nominated as a trustee on the TRF and TPF boards.
